How to Fish Guide Hub is built on evidence, not guesswork. This page explains how we choose sources, handle unknowns, and correct mistakes.

Source hierarchy

1. Official sources: Steam store pages, developer/publisher announcements, patch notes, and official social channels.
2. Direct observation: Public retail-version gameplay videos and streams with identifiable build context.
3. Reputable analysis: Established guide publications and technical reviews.
4. Community signals: Reddit, Steam Community, and forums are used for demand and recurring symptoms, not as proof of universal mechanics.

What we do not do

• We do not invent creature names, drop rates, coordinates, or patch behavior.
• We do not use beta footage to establish retail mechanics.
• We do not copy articles, maps, screenshots, artwork, or transcripts without permission.
• We do not publish video-only pages; every page must be useful as text.

Handling unknowns

When official data is missing, we mark the value as "unknown" or leave it blank and explain what is still unverified. We never fill gaps with fabricated details.

Corrections

If you spot an error or have a better source, email [email protected] or open a discussion. We review corrections against our source hierarchy and update pages with a changelog note when appropriate.
