Privacy Policy
How to Fish Guide Hub respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information we collect
We do not require accounts or login. The only data we receive is standard web server logs from our hosting provider and optional analytics events described below. We do not sell personal data.
Analytics
We may use privacy-focused analytics to understand which guides are helpful. No personal identifiers are collected, and you can block analytics scripts through your browser.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Loaded only when a
NEXT_PUBLIC_GA4_IDenvironment variable is configured. GA4 may set cookies and process IP-derived location data. See Google Privacy Policy. - Umami: Loaded only when
NEXT_PUBLIC_UMAMI_SCRIPT_URLandNEXT_PUBLIC_UMAMI_WEBSITE_IDare configured. Umami is cookie-free and does not track across sites.
Advertising
We load the Google AdSense script to verify this site and support advertising after Google approves it. Google may place or read cookies, use web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers, and process data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads where permitted. Ads may not appear while the site is under review. Learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can manage ad preferences through Google Ad Settings.
Consent
Visitors in applicable regions will receive the consent choices provided through Google's certified consent management platform before consent-dependent ad processing is used. We honor the choice exposed by that interface. GA4 and Umami remain disabled unless their separate public identifiers are configured.
Embedded content
Some pages embed YouTube videos using the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain. YouTube may still collect data according to its terms when you interact with the player.
Your rights
You can disable cookies and analytics scripts in your browser. For data requests or deletion questions, contact us at [email protected].
